"I am delighted to offer my insights and thoughts on Doug Koob. Doug was a member of the Smith Teamaker executive team for 12 months from April 2016 - April 2017. I wanted Doug to stay on as a permanent member of the team but his consulting business was demanding too much of his time and he opted to leave Smith Teamaker.

Doug's role at Smith Teamaker was acting VP Sales. Doug jumped into the business and developed the 2017 annual strategic plan for the foodservice channel and presented this to the executive team and board of directors.

Doug led the sales organization including the foodservice channel for segments such as boutique lodging, fine dining, college & university, and business & industry segments. He coached and managed a team of 4 sales reps and 2 customer service reps. He hired the first outside sales rep for the company and coached and mentored her to set her up for success in the Western Washington market

Doug has built solid relationship from 25 years in the industry and he leveraged his vast network and relationships to drive new domestic/international foodservice opportunities for the company including on-boarding new distributor accounts and direct accounts.  

Doug creatively packaged the Smith Teamaker brand and products with other local artisan brands to drive new long-term account opportunities in the college and university channel.
